Wisconsin limits any one axle to 20,000 lb and any one wheel (or wheels on one end of an axle) to 11,000 lb — a per-wheel cap most states do not state. Gross weight comes from axle-group tables rather than a single number. Agricultural axle loads rise to 23,000 lb, and implements of husbandry may reach 92,000 lb gross without a permit.
